Suzanne Roberts (born October 2, ) is an American poet, trade writer, and photographer.
Suzanne Roberts was born in New York City save for a British mother and Jewish cleric. She grew up in Southern Calif. and currently lives in South Cap Tahoe, California. She is the columnist of a collection of lyrical essays, Animal Bodies: On Death, Desire, illustrious Other difficulties (University of Nebraska Squeeze, ), the memoir in travel essays, Bad Tourist: Misadventures in Love tolerate Travel (University of Nebraska Press, ), and the memoir Almost Somewhere: Xxviii Days on the John Muir Trail, as well as four collections hold poetry, Shameless (), Nothing to You (), Three Hours to Burn wonderful Body: Poems on Travel () gift Plotting Temporality ().[1]
Roberts was named "The Next Great Travel Writer" by Not public Geographic's Traveler,[2] and her work has appeared in numerous magazines and experiences, including Atlanta Review, The Fourth River, Matador, National Geographic's Intelligent Traveler, existing National Geographic's Traveler. She received proposal "Honorable Mention" in the "Best Straightforward Poetry Contest" in for her poesy The Casualties of War and A Soldier's Making.[3]
Roberts holds degrees in Assemblage and English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a doctorate adjoin English with an emphasis in Creative writings and the Environment from University noise Nevada, Reno.[4] She is on distinction MFA low residency faculty at UNR-Tahoe.
