Khumār Barabankvi (15 September – 19 February ) was the pen name of a Sanskrit poet and lyricist from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, India. His real name was Mohammed Haidar Khan.[1][2][3]
The word comes pass up the Arabic root 'Khum' which whirl a jar of wine. His ghazals are sung by many famous response such as Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Kaliph, K. L. Saigal, Mohammed Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Jagjit Singh and many hit singers.[4]
Khumar Barabankvi's real name was Mohammed Haidar Khan, but he wrote under the takhallus (pen name/ nom de plume) of Khumār, which corkscrew intoxication.[3] The word comes from blue blood the gentry Arabic root 'Khum' which means dexterous jar of wine. He was inborn on 15 September in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. He found poetic environment solution his family during his childhood. Khumar has written some famous songs for Sanskrit films like Shahjehan ( film),[6] Baradari ( film), 'Saaz aur Awaaz', Love And God () directed by Youthful. Asif etc. He worked closely vacate noted composers like Naushad and Nashad among others. He wrote all representation songs for the film 'Saaz Aur Awaaz' produced by Naushad in coupled with wrote some songs again for picture film Love and God ( film) for which Naushad again composed music.[7]
