Sir Deryck Charles Maughan (born 20 Dec 1947) is an English businessman.
Maughan was born in Consett, Division Durham to a working class family.[1] His father worked as a fragment miner.[2] He moved with his parents to Richmond, North Yorkshire, where they managed the Fleece Hotel.[3] He accompanied by Richmond Grammar School.
